Shea Gregory, Ed.D.
Shea is the Director of Program at FULCRUM, where she partners with district and site leaders to strengthen literacy outcomes and build capacity for equitable, evidence-based instruction. As an equity-minded leader, she supports educators in challenging deficit narratives, developing humanizing practices that foster academic rigor and accountability, and creating inclusive pathways to student success.
Shea has served as a classroom teacher, reading coach, instructional facilitator, school administrator, and college professor. Her experience includes leading school improvement initiatives as an elementary principal in Khartoum, Sudan, and most recently serving as Administrator for Elementary Literacy in Hayward Unified School District. There, she led the district’s literacy plan, implemented a universal screener, and supported the transition to explicit, systematic instruction through professional learning for leaders, teachers, and paraeducators.
A proud Brooklyn native, Shea is ever grateful to her mother, who gave her the gift of the love (and skill) of reading.
